ABOUT NOLA100

WHAT IS NOLA100?

Immediate Impact Now, Template for the Future

NOLA100 is an intense recovery and rebuilding program designed to return as many New Orleans families as possible to newly repaired homes, all in the space of a few short months. The “100” designation refers to the projects duration – 100 construction days from start to finish- as well as the project’s aspiration of repairing up to 100 storm damaged home during that time period with teams of volunteers, AmeriCorps-NCCC members and contractors- in other words, YOU! Come on down!

NOLA100 primarily serves elderly, disabled and single parent homeowners with a demonstrated gap in their ability to recover from Katrina and return to their home. The NOLA100 project is particularly active in the Lower Ninth Ward, Holy Cross and Hollygrove neighborhoods.

NOLA100 represents a collaboration of non-profit organizations active in Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts: The Salvation Army, The William J. Clinton Foundation, Rebuilding Together New Orleans and the Hope Has A Face Foundation. The NOLA100 commitment is to introduce the project template into the public domain after its successful completion.

NOLA100 also is proud to partner with community groups, neighborhood associations and local churches, all of which are critical to project success. The NOLA100 Project is also made possible through the generous support of our corporate and non-profit partners:
